China Found Music Workshop's European tour 2001 of is initiated and coordinated
by the Vienna-based organisation AsianCultureLink that has already invited
China Found Music Workshop to perform in Vienna in 1999 and 2000. In addition
to the cooperation with European-based composers that was achieved during
these years, new forms of intercultural cooperation are projected for the
future and can hopefully be launched during this tour. We mainly aim at a
large-scale cooperation with Vienna's most renowned contemporary music ensemble,
the Klangforum Wien. A concept for a concert performed in a joint-venture
by both groups has been developed and will be discussed together with several
composers in Vienna during the tour.
